Hi folks,
I've been a TC member about six months or so, and I'm about ready to get some of my own questions answered. I've learned tons by searching the forums, gotten help from existing members too, and my own project is getting to the point where I'll need some more direct answers to my questions. I live in the Northern Virginia area and my car is being worked on at L&P Restorations in Falls Church, VA (http://www.l-pautorestorations.com/ Mine's the top Camaro under "Works in Progress"). Les Driscoll has done a fantastic job getting my car ready to paint, he's great to work with, and once I choose my paint scheme I know he'll do a good job with the paint. I've owned it since 1982 when it was still in its original LeMans Blue, but I had it painted white in the late 80's. Now I'm leaning towards going back to blue with some silver Z28 stripes. Anyone have pics with that paint scheme? Thanks!

Hi Barry,

I love the Lemans Blue with White Z stripes, but personnaly, I don't care for the idea of silver stripes on any Camaro. It's all about personal preference, so if you like silver stripes, go for it, but I would really think twice and make sure you at least consider the white stripes.

Hey Barry,

Good luck with whatever you chose. I personally like them to look original. Tell Les I said "Hi". Mine was the first Camaro he did and he did an awesome job and definitely isn't afraid to work and meet a schedule.

Thanks for the feedback, fellas! I guess I want it to be a little different, therefore the idea of the silver stripes. Lemans Blue seems to be the most popular color, and there's plenty of them with white stripes. But that's for good reason, it looks good! These are the only pics I've found in the blue/silver scheme: http://www.lateral-g.org/rupp69/ . It's not Lemans Blue but I think it really pops. Mine's a bit of a pro-touring build but it'll look mostly stock. I'm torn as to whether to go with the stock Lemans Blue or one closer to the 2006 Corvette Lemans Blue.

Barefoot Dave, good to know you're happy with Les' work. I'll let him know you said hello!
