I have a really silly question. I am missing a few of my fender emblems. When I went to put them on I realized there is no way for me to get the fastening nuts on the back of the emblems from the inside the fender. It is behind the fender wells but not accessible throuhg the hood opening. Any suggestions. Am I missing something here. I certainly do not want to dismantle the fender just to put on a few emblems.

Thanks,

Mark

They make a rubber/plastic thing you push in from the outside and then push the posts of the emblem into the holes that are in the insert.

Lots of guys use barrel nuts, or adhesive. But if you want them to be "factory", loosen all the rear fender bolts, and remove the one on the underside, Then pull out the fender while a skinny friend reaches up the tighten the speed nuts. I used a ratcheting box wrench to speed up the process. If you are using new emblems, pre-install the nuts to cut a set of threads on the posts.

Hi Mark:

I had the same situation - I could get to the back of my fender emblems, but I didn't want to drill holes in them.

Instead, I used a Dremel to cut off the emblem mounting studs. Then I got some "exterior" 3M double-sided tape and carefully cut around the lettering so the sticky was only behind the emblem. Then I stuck it in place. That was years ago and it has worked great! Good luck.
