im buying a new motown block, could i reuse the pistons i have in my 400small block right now? would i need to replace the rings? maybe 50 1/4 mile passes on em, and 500-1000 road miles, but thats it.

Personally, if I were buying a high-$$$ block, I would use new pistons. Others here would know for sure.

By the way, I was reading a past post of yours (I believe June of 2002), where you were having trouble getting your car into the 12's. Your combo is nearly identical to my new mill, so I was wondering how you've done on the track so far. Shoot me an email if possible.
