I saw a reference in the chassis service to a fisher body service manual? Anyone ever seen one for a 68? The regular Fisher body manual is about as usless as @#% on a boar hog unless your replaceing the convertible top
be nice to see what they said about hanging sheet metal like how maney spotwelds and where? The regular one just shows you a thousand ways to use sealer and a molding clip
Just wondering if anyones come across such an animal?
Thanks David:confused:

I have both the 1968 Chevrolet Chassis Service Manual and the Fisher Body Service Manual. Both are very useful, but do not show any spot weld information. They are for servicing, not building.
I don't know what you are referring to when you say "regular Fisher body manual", as far as I know there is only one 1968 Fisher Body Service Manual, p/n 7792212.

I assume these were for dealerships but never seen one.Yea ..I was refering to the fisher body manual and it is useless for any kind of major repair work

There's only one Fisher manual - the Fisher Body Service Manual that all the vendors sell. Fisher didn't have an Assembly Manual per se - they had O.D. (Operation Description) sheets that described every single operation required to build, paint, and trim the body shell in gory detail, with illustrations, tool numbers, supplies, weld transformers, tips and heats, etc., and a full set of O.D. sheets was about six inches thick. They were generated by Fisher Body Production Engineering Activity (Dept. 154) and were never released outside of GM.
