Hello all...i just purchased a 1971 RS camaro and trying to complete a few things that were not from the previous owner. The trunk lock and key were missing. well I've picked up the key set / shaft / crome belzel and gausket but can't seem to get it to fit correctly...does then key set
mount inside or mount outside facing up? any picture's of advice would be great.

The lock cylinder should have 2 ears on either side with holes in them on a 71 and it goes behind the chrome bezel. Teeth on the key facing down. Old Chryslers were the only cars I've ever run into that had the teeth facing up on their locks.
