well i bought my 01' camaro almost a yr ago and i've had to do quite alot of repairs on it, but right now my car seems to shoot up the rpms instead of accelerate. no matter what, when i push the gas petal down, the rpms rev and the car barely moves. I have to keep reving the car at a high rpm to slowly get it to move. When u try to push the petal to the floor, you can smell like somethings burning. It'll climb up past 70mph once going but if i drop it down to gear or try to accelerate it, the rpms just go up and the car stays the same. Well this is about my frist car so sorry for the long ph but didn't know what u guys need info on... thx if u can help.

Trans dip stick tube should be on the drivers side rear toward the firewall, it has a lil. Red handle on it...you need to have the car running on flat ground in park with the ebrake on, pull the dipstick and wipe it off and then put it back in and read where the fluid level is ..just like checking the oil level but car is running..

yes ,that is true ,fill it through the dipstick tube.. if your talking about the coolant container, you fill to the full level with 50% coolant abd 50% water mix..you might want to clean out the container first...and keep an eye on the level you might have a leak...

.......If that's from the transmission......it's trashed and time for a rebuild.
.......If that's from the crankcase,it's time for an oil change:yes:.

Is this an automatic transmission? I guess it is if you have a dipstick. If you can smell it while you are driving, my guess is it is shot.
