i have a truck bellhousing part number 460486 does anyone have the gm number for the inspection cover?

Just so ya know I looked for a part number for you but all I could come up with is the 621 cover. Sorry.

Call your friendly GM counter man. An old guy will more likely know the part # off the top of his head.

Scott, I looked in my GM Truck parts book and came up with 2 numbers-

# 6263757 -76-81 6cyl & 454 W/MT, and
# 340254 - 76 -80 350 W/MT

No Garantees, but I would go with the 6263757 first and if not then order the 340254

the only part number good was 340254 so i ordered it,
the parts guy was able to match it to the bellhousing part number so i should be good.

You do know of course the truck bellhousing has a bigger centre register bore and a spacer is needed if you are running a Muncie/Borg etc.?

yes i do! that was my first problem i had to solve, buying the bearing retainer (adapter ) to connect a muncie to that truck housing from auto gear, that and the missing clutch cover, my muncie is done( thx for your help on the rebuild info) bolted on the motor, sitting in the sub frame, and im on to paint challenges.
