I swapped out the Muncie for a new Richmond.. I also added Autometer electronic gauges.. I am trying to install the bullet with the Autometer speedo adapter that converts to electronic signal, however, there is not enough clearance between the side of the trans and the floorpans to get both the bullet and adapter hooked to the side of the trans... Anybody else run into this before? The only thing I can think of is to run a normal speedo cable from bullet and then mount the autometer adapter somewhere else on the car within reach and plug the speedo cable into it..??

That's what I did, my 1st G-force was the same basic trany as your Richmond, and I also have a Dakota Digital electric speedo.
So I made a 6" speedo cable just like you are talking about.
My current G-force does not have a speedo gear, so I'm using a magnetic collar on the diff yoke with a hall-effect pick up.
Both ways work fine.

Pontiac GTO,s around 69/70 use a short speedo extension cable by the trans, around 10"? or so. You could also use a midyear (63-67) tach cable off a Corvette to put the adaptor up further as well. Corvette Central offers a 90* adaptor for the 63-67 Corvette that would also work.
