DOUG G Jan 3rd, 09, 04:20 PM I just have the standard 1 red/1 clear set-up with the red being LEDs from Musclerodz.com
I really like the sequential set-up  Looks great :beers:
speedfreek Jan 3rd, 09, 07:21 PM Those look great. Thanks for the vid .
Joe Harrison Jan 3rd, 09, 09:32 PM WOW !!! I really like those, I have seen some other brand that I was not impressed with, I will have to remember digi tails.
How much for everything? Please post a pic of the install inside the trunk.
Joe
JimM Jan 3rd, 09, 09:54 PM Those are VERY cool, another expensive item to put on my list...lol.
Are those digitails the same as the ones sold by musclerods, or different?
I'd prefer to support a sponsor, but I like that brand much better than others I've seen.

I'd prefer to support a sponsor, but I like that brand much better than others I've seen.Same ones, we sell lots of them.
Brentmc Jan 4th, 09, 07:10 PM Guys,
The install took 90 minutes. It was VERY simple and worked the first time I tried them.
The whole set-up normally costs around $209 plus two LED flashers for $38.00. I bought them directly from Spaghetti Engineering but they are obviously available from others as well.
I see these as a safety upgrade. With our 1st Gens being rear ended because of what is sometimes our dull tail light glow, I want my signals to be as visible as possible. LED's fit the bill and sequential lights get even more attention.
Joe--here's a pic from inside the trunk--let me know if you need more:

JimM Jan 4th, 09, 08:24 PM Brent, Does this kit need a 4rth wire run to the back of the car, a separate brake light wire?
67RS~HOTGIRL Jan 4th, 09, 08:41 PM Wow they look very good...Now I want to put some on mine:yes:
Camaro1969 Jan 4th, 09, 08:47 PM what would look really cool, would be putting the pure white LED's that AUDI has on their car, and put them on the side wall of the front head lights.. kinda puts a new age on a old car.. or some angel eyes for front headlights. Though it woudnt be original, itd be complete different than the next person, and i kinda think thats what more people are going for these day. I have plans to put angel eyes and white LED like audi. If anyone has done this before, please let me know how, i am very interested
Gary L Jan 4th, 09, 09:06 PM Shouldn't the brake lights be red? What does it look like when 1 turn signal is on and the brakes are on?
jbutler Jan 4th, 09, 09:13 PM I really like the idea of running the brighter LED lights. Is there a way to switch these to blink and flash like the stockers?
Musclerodz Jan 5th, 09, 01:09 AM Brent, Does this kit need a 4rth wire run to the back of the car, a separate brake light wire? There is a orange power wire included that hooks up to the dome light connection in the trunk to power the LED boards
Musclerodz Jan 5th, 09, 01:09 AM I really like the idea of running the brighter LED lights. Is there a way to switch these to blink and flash like the stockers?Yes, ther is a dip switch that will allow the user to turn off the sequrntial function.
Brentmc Jan 5th, 09, 05:52 AM Jim,
It takes one 12V wire run to each tail light--I tapped into the orange wire in the wiring harness running down the driver' side quarter panel--all the wiring is included and is color coded the same as OEM colors--which makes it really easy to figure out. They include extra wiring for folks with converibles that don't have the dome light wiring to tap into.
JButler--To echo Mike, you set a dip switch on the back of each LED board to select either sequential or normal operation.
GaryL--the lights appear red (very bright red) as they are clear LEDs behind the stock red tail light lens. They may look orangish in the picture but are actually bright red. I'll check to see what it looks like when the brake light is on at the same time as the turn signal.

hmmm, I could probably take that from something I've allready got back there.
Amplifier power would be my preference, but probably not good cause it's hot always.
remote amp on maybe? that's just a switched power out of the head unit, do these boards draw much current?
Or last resort the fuel pump lead, relay served, only on wirh engine.
Brentmc Jan 5th, 09, 06:26 AM Jim,
They include an orange wire for folks with convertibles--it runs straight to the fuse box. I'll have to check my install instructions to see where they say it should be connected on the fuse box though...
I don't know what they power draw is for these--again, I will check my paperwork and see. I'll email Brian at Spaghetti Engineering too to see what he can provide.
Stainless dog Jan 5th, 09, 09:14 AM I put Tecknostalgia LED's in last year.Just the red brake and turn signal ones. When you brake they blink three times and then stay on.Direct wire up.Only problem i had was they would not flash when you put the turn signal on.After a couple different flashers I wired regular light sockets into the turn signal wires and they worked fine. There's a couple lights that come on in the truck but you never see them. The LED array did not draw enough power to make the flasher work.
johnny mac 1967 Jan 5th, 09, 03:32 PM I have the bare bone ones from Musclerodz. Its the LED board and red lens all in one. Installation was incredibly simple, just had to plug it in, didnt have to tap into any wires. They don't have a sequential feature, but I didnt want it anyway. They're also cheaper, I think it was $57 a side, so I have full LED's for $114.
makoshark Jan 5th, 09, 10:41 PM Could I use the third brake light wire on my AAW Classic Update wiring harness to power the LED boards?
Rhino Jan 8th, 09, 02:50 PM Do you happen to have a pic of the boards prior to installation?
Brentmc Jan 8th, 09, 02:52 PM Yep--you can use any 12V wire....
Pics are on the Spaghetti Engineering website of the boards before installation...
rsbecool Jan 9th, 09, 02:22 PM Brent, have you checked to see what it looks like when the brake light is on at the same time as the turn signal. Is it a duel intensity light?
Badasschevy123 Jan 14th, 09, 09:11 PM I'm thinking of upgrading my tail lights to a sequential tail lights. I've seen a couple of kits that strobe when they come on and then stay lit but the only kits ive found online just come on. Anyone know the brand or know what im talking about?
Any help whould be appreciated.
Chris
