I have my differential out of the car 67 RS Convertible 327 powerglide as part of restoration process. Checking the code, I cannot figure out what the PW code is - should be 3:08 as car is RS. My Camaro Restoration guide does not have any PW code reference in it. This differential is original - I'm original owner. Date code is reasonable - 0922 (September 22) for an October car build date. And the G build location Detriot Gear & Axle fits the Norwood assembly.

Thanks for advice.

Thanks Ed. The CRG reference is more complete than the Restoration guide book. Book also indicates that for an RS car, the ratio is 3:08. But the reference you linked to in CRG shows 2:73. I'm fine with 2:73 as I live in a rural area, 45 minutes to an hour away from major centers - so the cruising ratio is great. Guess I'll check the gears when I pull the cover to replace bearings and seals.

Thanks again!!

While the "standard" ratio for non RS cars was 2.73 and for RS cars 3.08, the 2.73 was option G97 and could be purchased for an additional $2.00. Kind of unusual, but not uncommon.
