Well, I've finally ordered a new transmission for my '67 retro-mod. My car is an RS/SS coupe, originally equipped with a 4 speed. I saved this car from a rusty grave. It had no engine or transmission and a shot 10 bolt rear someone added. Since the original drivetrain was missing (and I already have a stock '67 RS/SS), I decided to go with an LS engine and an M6 transmission with the usual mechanical upgrades (4 piston disc brakes, aftermarket A/C, etc).
I've been talking to Keisler about their T56 Perfect Fit package. I placed my order. It may not exactly be a perfect fit depending on what motor mounts I use but it'll be close.
The Keisler guys are great to work with and very knowledgeable. They have been helpful to keep me out of trouble and have offered good advice on other aspects of my build. I cannot comment on the transmission, as I do not have it yet, but I highly recommend Keisler as they're great to work with.
Thanks Keisler! And I'll post updates as I progress with the build. :)
