Found an old timer with the following coded car... 05D B, 67 12437N127***, 717-Z D-D, W 2MG3L, 4-P.....engine is a T0828HB, and says it's not original to the car. Says it's an SS, is he right? Thanks! I'm new to the 60's camaros.

Something's wrong Bill. That VIN 124377N127*** indicates a car built in November, 1966, but the Trim Tag date shows the 4th week of May, 1967. Unless you made a typo, one isn't original to the car.

Darn! Now I see that this was simply the body unit number stamped on the cowl tag. I was hoping that he had an actual VIN number that started with 127***. I was hoping that the "MS" coded 350 and matching 4-speed that I have was the original "warhead" for this car. Do these numbers have any correspondence to the VIN whatsoever?
