SPARKY69 Jan 8th, 09, 04:58 AM i have the march set up on mine..no problems at all..over 600 hsp motor...love it!! Blade Jan 8th, 09, 05:02 AM creight from CS3 sells them. check out the link on the side of the page. DougP Jan 8th, 09, 05:32 AM I have the March setup and it works great - I would opt for the high flow pulleys rather than the high horsepwer ones if you do a lot of street driving Lobstah Jan 8th, 09, 06:25 PM I had planned on using electric fan and an electric water pump on my 383. I ordered Vintage Air through Frank at GP superstore (site sponsor), and he said to call March for the pullet setup. March says they can't do pulleys to accomodate the electric water pump. First time I've been through this...so not sure which way to go now. Jim p.s. didn't mean to hijack... Pro-Street69Camaro468 Jan 8th, 09, 07:38 PM I have the march ultra on my BBC it is very tight in the front... SINFUL67RS/SS Jan 8th, 09, 08:26 PM Thanks everyone. Dave when you its tight up front, pulleys close to electric fan???? Can't tell in your pictures what your running for cooling, oh by the way nice car. CS3 Auto Jan 13th, 09, 01:31 PM Are you still looking for one? I have a March SBC Track system on sale with free shipping. Complete kit includes alternator, alternator pulley with fan and nose cover, A/C compressor and nose cover, water pump, crank pulley, alternator / air conditioning bracket and serpentine belt. Whatever your looking for, I bet I can get it. Just send me a pm with you wish list. Picture and link of the March set-up http://cs3automotive.com/index.php?a=PROD:1368 tonyvol Jan 28th, 09, 10:40 AM Check out the pulley systems these guys sell. They sell and manufacture the puley systems in-house. I've heard alot of good things from people that have bought these pulley systems. These kits come with everything you need to bolt the kits on. No need to search for spacers and bolts with these kits. http://www.c1pulleys.com/ ProdigyCustoms Jan 28th, 09, 06:47 PM There is a advantage to building a lot of cars, we get to test a lot of parts. We sell and install 3 brands. We only sell Billet Specialties, March, and Vintage Air. All three make great systems especially the one bracket systems front mount systems that are so popular now. It is really a matter of style and price. We have killer deals on all 3 brands, and have many different units in stock. 68driver Feb 17th, 09, 05:03 PM It looks like all of these systems come with alternators and A/C compressors. I already have an alternator and a polished compressor that came with my Vintage Air system. Can these serpentine systems (March, Billet Specialties, Vintage Air,...) be purchased without the alternators and compressors? 1969ProStreetCamaro Feb 17th, 09, 05:18 PM It looks like all of these systems come with alternators and A/C compressors. Can these serpentine systems (March, Billet Specialties, Vintage Air,...) be purchased without the alternators and compressors? First off you compressor most likely will not work, most of these systems use the SD7 peanut compressor, yours is most likely the full size sanden style. Second, none of these manufacturers sell component delete. We just tried to buy a compressor delete Vintage Air and Billet Specialties last week, no luck. But you can sell your old stuff, it sells pretty quick. 1969ProStreetCamaro Feb 17th, 09, 06:40 PM First off you compressor most likely will not work, most of these systems use the SD7 peanut compressor, yours is most likely the full size sanden style. Frank, I thought March Performance would sell you a "kit" of brackets and pulleys to work with stock components like AC compressors and Alternators? Btw, have you had your bad to the bone '69 on the strip yet this year?? David F. ProdigyCustoms Feb 17th, 09, 06:50 PM You can buy the mid mount brackets, but none of the Style Trac will come that way. Have not raced it in 3 years, but I am working on it real soon changing a lot of things. Lets just say it will go around corners now and hopefully still pull wheelies! 1969ProStreetCamaro Feb 17th, 09, 06:55 PM You can buy the mid mount brackets, but none of the Style Trac will come that way. Have not raced it in 3 years, but I am working on it real soon changing a lot of things. Lets just say it will go around corners now and hopefully still pull wheelies! I didn't know that about the Style Trac system thanks for the clarification. Now.....about those corners and wheelies........you gotta post some pics of the transformation of the '69:yes::thumbsup::cool:. David F. 68driver Feb 17th, 09, 07:52 PM Thanks for the info Frank. Just to clarify; are the SD7 peanut style compressors compatible with the Gen IV system? I assume they are, but just want to double check. (you wanna buy back that polished full size compressor?... :) ) mnm99 Feb 18th, 09, 05:12 PM Like it was said before opt for the high flow system. I bought a used/like new system off someone on ebay. I was told that he had no problems with the voltage drop at idle with the performance system on his car. He had the same fans I have. I ended up buying a smaller alt pulley to keep the voltage up at idle. ProdigyCustoms Feb 18th, 09, 06:16 PM Thanks for the info Frank. Just to clarify; are the SD7 peanut style compressors compatible with the Gen IV system? I assume they are, but just want to double check. (you wanna buy back that polished full size compressor?... :) ) Yes the SD7 works with the Gen IV. I will trade your compressor back in if it is unused. 68driver Feb 18th, 09, 06:51 PM Yes the SD7 works with the Gen IV. I will trade your compressor back in if it is unused. Thanks. I was kidding when I mentioned the "buy back", but that would be great if we can work out a trade or credit on a sepentine system. That's why I keep coming back to Prodigy Customs. You guys are great. Shoot me a PM with some pricing on your March, Billet Specialties, and Vintage Air solutions. I have a 68 Camaro with a 350 SBC. Thanks again, Rob C. ProdigyCustoms Feb 18th, 09, 07:23 PM The systems are all so different, it really depends on what you like. The March is the most cost effective of the three, the Billet Specialties are about the same money as one another. http://marchperf.com/styletrack_sb.html http://www.vintageair.com/08/catalog08/08%20VA%20Cat%20pg%2057%20f.pdf http://www.billetspecialties.com/product.asp?cid=23&scid=182 tejasrs/ss Feb 19th, 09, 02:32 PM hey Frank shoot me a pm with a price for March Kit 21155. Can u let me know the price difference between the type2 remote P/S pump and the Saginaw? Also I can't really tell if the water pump is polished or not. 68driver Feb 19th, 09, 05:36 PM The systems are all so different, it really depends on what you like... Frank, I'm leaning toward one of the March systems. I'll send an e-mail to your Prodigy Customs account with the part numbers and details. Thanks again, Rob C. |
