It dosn't tell you anything about the car really other than the paint code, trim code & assembly date. What would be the point... The only other '68 LOS tag I have seen (a plain jane) had a hyphen between the 68 and 12437. This one did not have it so I posted to get some feedback. I'm still trying to figure out how to tell the fake tags from the real ones but if you think about it there's really no reason to fake a 68 tag. I guess someone could fake a particularly rare color combo or something of that nature. Maybe fake the assembly date to make a case that the rear end was original to the car...I don't know...just grasping at straws here.
