Can someone please tell me the pros and cons of each transmission??? Why do some people perfer 400 over the 350? or the other way around?

TH400 will handle more horsepower than a TH350.TH400 is heavier than TH350.TH350 is a bolt in replacement for a powerglide so it is a popular upgrade for Camaros that orig. had a glide.TH350 has lower gear ratios than TH400.

I feel like a TH350 is fine behind most smallblocks and a TH400 should be used behind bigblocks.

400~uses more power to turn
350~not as strong (but can be upgraded for heavy use)
400~people want more $$$$ for them
350~easier to find (cheaper)

Expect about a 28% reduction in OD.
