I have an X44 Norwood car with a build date of 4th week of Aug. What month did they start building them? My Cowl sequence number is 100051.

That would have to be August of 1969. No "X" codes until 12B of 1968.

Gary is correct, I got one of the non x 12A cars. But on the other hand, you have a very early 69 body. Ever look behind the back seat , on the bulkhead for crayon markings?

I believe that the VIN numbers were reset the same time 70 production started even tho they kept building 69's. CRG is down so I can't verify that.

The BDY #s were reset in Aug 69, not the VINs.

Thanks Dave ! I saw the 1000051 and thought VIN not BDY.

Interesting. That's a low # for so late in August.
Do you know what the original drivetrain was?

Was thinking the same thing, but I don't pay all that much attention to BDY #s.
