Have been wondering about this..........
How many places does a first gen have tags, stamped #s, plates etc. to identify required equipment or factory options? Not part #s (ie alt, or starter etc). I'm not talking about cars that have all paper documentation just what is found on the car itself. I looked on CRG and searched here. Maybe did not ask question correctly. Just a "was wondering question" during Steeler=Charger game:confused:.

Go Steelers!! The 67 has a lot of information on the cowl tag, and is by far the most helpful among the 3 first gen years. 68 was virtually of no help, other than "Name, rank and serial number" (Exterior color, interior, and build date). 69 was more help, at least for the X coded cars. (Norwood only, after 12A, 68.)

vin tag, trim tag, and something like 3 hidden partial vin's stamped on the body....other stampings on individual parts to hook them with the body

2 hidden partial VIN's , under cowl vent and under blower motor on firewall, (usually not visible unless you pull the suitcase off). :)

I think it http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml gives you the info you want.

And the Model ID pages, e.g. http://www.camaros.org/diffs69.shtml, should also help answer that question.
