Guys, I am about to start the re-assembly process with Hotchkis front springs.
Is there anything needed other than the original pot metal or aluminum lower support piece to put them in? Any type of isolator on top or bottom?
Thanks

There was no factory pot metal or aluminum support piece. The orig springs indexed in the subframe and sat metal to metal on the lower a arm. If you have an extra piece in there it's because someone added it. Nothing else is needed, unless you have to shim the springs to get desired ride height.

sounds like you have a coil spring spacer(are you talking about something that fits in the spring seat of the LCA)?
Just clock the pigtail correctly in the upper part of the subframe, (if you look up there with a flashlight should be self explanatory). I have the sbc coils and ended up using a aluminum coil spacer for additional clearance (sounds like what you described). SS

It must be that. It is shaped like a "C" and was corroded into the LCA. I removed it and blasted them. I will keep them unless the car is a bit low.
Thanks.
