I have learned that the 67 seats and 68 seats are the same, so has anyone recovered 69 seats to look like 68 seats?
thx scott

I am pretty sure my seats were out of a 69 and I was able to cover them with 68 covers without a problem. I now have headrests as well.

Scott,
Does your upper seat foam have springs in them or is the foam and springs separate ?

Not sure how accurate you are wanting to be but '67 seats had metal back plates instead of the plastic ones that were in '68 and are reproed...

well my first thought would be to find 67 seats, unfortuneally the po had 69's in the car with new covers on top of old foam, i didnt know the difference so i bought new foams (67 standards) to go under the covers, and when i recovered the rear seats i was educated as to the cover difference's,(different pattern) so im trying to recover and refoam the front seats to match the new covers on the rear seats, the 69 frames at least are in real good shape.
bob the 69 seats have the back springs inside a seperate foam piece then buns on top of it , i think im going to need to buy just covers (i already have the foam)?
thx for the help

for anyone who searchs, the verdict is in, 69 standard seats can in fact be recovered, rebuned, to turn into 68 standard seat clones and if i had a set of metal 67 backs im sure they could be fitted to end up with 67 standard seat clones. the 69's seats had the upper springs in foam, a seperate piece, but worked with the standard 67-68 buns and covers. i did not have the head rest pieces on the 69's so they are exact 68's (no head rests )
