hi ,,any truth in determinng a true ss 69 from a plain jane camaro by the number of springs on the hood hinges? i heard that today that a true ss has 28 when others have 26? is this a falacy, or the truth? Thanks it's news to me !!

truth but springs can be added or changed too. so its not 100% foolproof way to tell SS but its more points to add up along the way.

thats true, the ss hoods are heavier needed more spring, all ss had 28, flat hood cars have 26.........
