Thinking about a shift kit for a 383 stroker, 700R4. The throw travel from first to second is very narrow and during quick shifts it is easy to miss. Looking at B&M shifters. Anyone with any experience with these? Would appreciate any comments. Thanks
Dave

I have a B&M Mega shifter with my 350th, can't miss if you hit it with a sledgehammer. I think they make a conversion kit for it to be used with a 700R.

i use a B&M pro ratchet in mine, love it. one hand reverse lockout operation, easy to use as a driver, perfect for the track. i even fit it in my factory console without cutting, i like the stock look, but the "hit and miss" shifting of the factory shifter doesn't cut it, imo. although i did go 11.90's with it, before getting th B&M.

I installed a B&M shift kit in my th350 and it made it pretty easy to chirp 3rd graemlins/thumbsup.gif ... but it looks as if you are talking about shifters. In that case, I've had good results with the economical B&M megashifter on my th350 and my 2004R. If you get the truck version it's a little taller if that's your preference.

Yes I'm refering to the "short ****ers" like the megashifter. B&M seem to be the preferred brand and I would like to keep my original factory console.

Placed Universal B&M megshifter cut piece for consol. Looks Great!!! Shifts on a dime. Nice performance upgrade.
