hey would you guys trust a decent priced ebay stroker kit?

i just picked up a standard bore 4 bolt 350 out of a 68 chevelle SS. its going to need the cylinders cleaned up and a new set of pistons. how much should i pay for a decent stroker kit with forged pistons and a cast crank? i really dont need forged rods or crank, i dont plan on using nitrous or supercharging the thing.

i found this balanced kit on ebay for a reasonable price.

also what type of work is required inside of the block other than a notched oil pan.

Sounds like a decent ecomonical kit, forged pistons anyway. I have heard of guys running Scat 9000 cast cranks with good luck too.
This kit is an external balanced kit, I would recommend an internal balanced set up. Stock style rods are ok as long as you don't go wild on camshaft, other wise you may end up having a few rod bolt heads, touching the base of the cam. There are articles about this issue here if you will do a search. One instance just this last weekend. Need to do your home work here and get the correct cc pistons to match your current head or something you can build on later. You will probably have to run a 400 balancer and maybe a late model flywheel or flexplate with this set up.
I would recommend a full forged kit if possible.

Please search Speed-O-Motive for this and there is NOTHING WRONG w/ a stock 400 short rod 383! And this is the real CHEAP way to do one!

Stock 400 rods and stock 350 pistons here w/ NO cam fitment issues that I know of.

Just buy a kit unbalanced and then mock it up and if you need to modify it, do so and then have it balanced "locally" so you won't be out a double balance job.

MY 406 has stock 400 rods in it and it does FINE!! Need's more head port tho, but fine non the less by me!
