hey guys i just wanted ther your experiances with magnaflow race series mufflers, or the original magnaflows, is there a big difference, imma be going with a 3 inch, xpipe system, and i want it to sound really nice, and if it is loud it is fine, but the only 3 inch race series muffler is a 6" long ? i just wonder how that would sound being so short? on their site they have vids of mufflers on certain cars, but none r vids of race series mufflers, saw some on youtube and man they sound great, what do you guys think?:beers:

Damo , i just got my 69 back yesterday from the muffler shop , had an x pipe with race series magnaflows installed. Its sounds great , done my research and am very happy. Not overly loud , nice n crisp and deep.

I use the reg turbo style magnaflows 3'' offset inlet center outlet works great you can look thru the muffler I like the bigger cases to help keep the noise level down.

I have a 73 camaro and I got the magnaflow 2.5 inch system with the X pipe with race mufflers and it sounds great. Nice crisp sound!! Very happy with the sound and performance.

thats cool, sounds like exactly what i want, im also,if they fit, gonna throw some cutouts right after the xpipe, but yea i stoped byt the shop today and told the guy to order them up for tuesday, 14" oval race muffler, i just cant wait to hear wat it does a BBC! thanx for the responses guys!:yes: you know i will put an exshust vid here next week

Please do post a video, I'm thinking about ordering a set of the short oval ones for my bbc.

I am running a 3" Magnaflow kit with x-pipe and their regular mufflers and the sound is great with a good bark at full throttle. Check out my Fquick page for a video clip.
