I have discussed this with the priciples involved as well as several serious collectors. What do TC members think,

1967 Z28 2+ condition(IMO)
Original drivetrain
Vinyl Roof
Certified by JM
Gold Spinner Award
WIW?

How bout a Royal Plum, RS/Z28 then that needs a complete restoration. Org engine/tranny gone and would been front and rear springs changed back to 67 springs. Org Rearend is there though but has multi-leaf springs installed

Does the lack of any GM documentation substantially hurt the value of such a relatively rare car?

To me, original docs are worth 20-25% of the value of the car. On lower priced cars, docs don't seem to matter as much, but break $100K and they make all the difference in the world...

As the market corrects, docs and original motors are going to really have a significant impact on values IMHO.

Mark YHO is right on the mark. If I am going to spend that kind of money today the car will be a no excuse item, and that means undisputable documentation and original drivetrain. I will pay for it,but anything less is of no interest.
