Hello All,

Does anyone know what year anti-lock braking systems first appeared on Camaro's? I saw a 1990 5.7L IROC-Z for sale and the seller mentioned the car had ABS brakes. I thought ABS brakes weren't available until the 4th gens arrived, unless I am wrong on that. All replies are welcomed! Thank You!!

On another very sad note, the mother in law of one of my dearest & closest friends suddenly passed away last night (heart attack). Her family always treated me like one of their family from the day he started dating their daughter & later married her. My deepest sympathy & condolences go out to her husband, kids, grand kids and their entire family. I am grateful I got to see her and talk to her at her grand son's first birthday party last night.......She was only 57...RIP Mrs. K, you will be sorely missed by many! Life is short people, enjoy every day you have and be thankful for those around you. Camaro's can be replaced, friends & family can not!

i think it was right about the time they went to electronic speedos- which was either 90 or 91, i think.

I don't recall a reluctor ring on my 92 RS for ABS system. It's not mentioned in the white book as part of the 1LE or B4C optionss either.

I never saw one that wasn't a 4th gen.
