I am moving my battery to the trunk and want to make sure I am doing this right. I already have a smaller battery in the trunk for the stereo. I am moving my Optima there also. I have run a 0 cable to the front of the car. It will run to a terminal block to be selected mounted on the wal where the battery was. The other end come up thru the top shock hole. (Air Ride now) . I am thinking to Y from this junction with ot 4 cable to the two different battery's. I will mount two quick disconnects, one on each battery, approximately 1 foot away on a wood bulkhead for the amp.. This way I can shut off the power to the car. Both battery's will be grounded to the frame in the trunk area. The cable going to the stereo battery will go to a junction first so I can tie the stereo power to it. All the outputs from the J box to the stereo amp and sub woofer amp will be fused. The j box at the front will feed the starter, fans and fuel injection. The fans and fuel injection are also fused. I will also run the smaller red wire from the battery positive to this Junction. Anybody see any problems with this . Or if I need any more fuses etc. Thanks for the input.

I would go with some thing like this to keep both battery charged

I currently have two battery's in the car. I have a newer 105 amp internally regulated alternator. The only change I would be making is I would be moving the main battery to the trunk with the other battery. The other new addition is two disconnect switches. I have already bought them. My alternator currently handles the two battery's, fans on and stereo and injectors without any issue. Only get a squeal of the v belt for 5 seconds upon start up . Need to change this to a serpentine. Hangs a little over 14 volts no problem.
Any other thoughts?

I looked at the second thread. I like the battery isolator idea. Any idea where you can buy the RedArc in the US? Or anybody have a good brand in the US?
Thanks:hurray:
