Melrose RS Jan 22nd, 09, 10:46 AM Very happy with Haggerty and dirt cheap. 1962vette Jan 22nd, 09, 02:20 PM I changed from Haggerty to Grundy and saved $400.00 a year for the same coverage on my two classic cars. Yellow69RSZ Jan 22nd, 09, 02:30 PM American Collectors fit me better than Haggerty! 69 z11 Jan 22nd, 09, 04:08 PM There are lot of classic insurers, many are cheaper, don't limit yourself to those two. dbanas Jan 22nd, 09, 04:19 PM More important than price may be the coverage for the type/amount of driving you plan on doing. Each one has its own coverage - Car Shows only, 2,500 miles per year max, no drag racing, no modifications, etc. etc. My experience was very positive - each company's representative seemed to be very knowledgable and very clear on the coverage limits, restrictions on use, modifications, etc. greg1ontheedge Jan 22nd, 09, 04:25 PM Infinity, used to be Parish Heacock. $168 a year for $18,000 actual replacement coverage. There is a max mileage you can drive per year, something like 2,500. I don't remember because my car is a weekend cruiser, maybe 1,000 a year at most... Steviej70 Jan 22nd, 09, 05:50 PM I use American Modern. Happy with the policy and price. Thank goodness I haven't had to file a claim (so I can't tell you how the service is). I stumbled across them by making a call to an insurance company that the guys over at yenko.net recommended. After speaking to the rep in Illinois, I realized that she was going to be using American Modern Insurance for me. I then called my agent (progressive drive) and he also works with American Modern. So I am able to keep my guy and do all of my insurance business under one roof. windycity1 Jan 23rd, 09, 08:16 AM Thank you guys for all the info. After comparing Grundy looks like the best fit for my needs. |
