you can click below to see my car. The speedomotor now says 50,030. I have paperwork going back the last 3 owners showing the car only had 1,200 or so miles put on her since '99; which is a pretty good sign. I'm going by memory now because I still have paperwork boxed up from my move. There is a statement from a salesman to one of the owners confirming the low, original miles. I don't remember the date of that letter but my guess is one of the buyers wanted something in writing about the low miles at one point. DMV records show the low mileage going to '99 (46,000 or so). The car has won some pretty good shows around the L.A. area; 12 in all; two this past summer. The inside is totally restored and I have reciepts for that. It has all the correct "stickers" on the trunk and such, which I like because it shows, to me, they cared about detail. It also has the propper blacked-out rear panel. I had the car appraised about a year ago and it got a "10" in all areas but one. (cant remember the area)
Knowing what I know now, I would have been more aware of the numbers when I got the car. I believe it to be original motor. I can not see some of the digits, but it starts with TO and has JI in there also. I do see part of another number but can't make it out. From researching this (thanks CRG) my feeling is, it had deck work done. I think if someone was going to re-stamp, they would have tried a little harder than just 4 digits. I have not looked at the tranny; the rear end matches. I also have, what I believe, is the original carb not in the car. This car runs like new and is not driven hard by any means. Being in So. Cal, it hasn't seen rain since I've had it and is garaged kept. SORRY FOR THE LONG POST!!

Are you looking for a value to insure the car, or a sales price Mark?

I'm just trying to get an idea of what it would be worth in todays market. Of course, I bought it right before the prices started to come down. But, as they say, it's paid for. Thanks guys
