recently a manufacturer started building 4340 rods for Duramaxes as a lower cost alternative to the $3500 Crowers. They failed destroying a motor at a power level that stock rods have no problem at. After that, I would be very leary of a sub $300 set of rods rated for 900 hp.

I cannot say how good they are, but they seem way too cheap to me.
