If you can go back to 1 year in your life... what year would that be ? and what reason would you have for going back there?..

Are we retaining our current knowledge? Aside from knowing the outcome of unpredictable events.

Good question. But probably 2000-2003. I'd like to rewrite those years. Correct some mistakes, some big mistakes to. Please, do not ask.

Yeah, what C-ROB said. Will we retain our knowledge of upcoming events?

If I could take my present knowledge back in time, I would go back to 2001 and stop the terrorist attacks on 9-11-01.

I would go back to October of 1987. My Dad died back then. It was a sudden heart attack. I was in my late teens and I tormented myself for years over it. We were arguing when he passed away and it was the worst argument we ever had. I walked away, hear a thud in the kitchen a few minutes later and I see him lying on the floor. And it wasn't pretty...He died pretty much right there...The paramdeics were there instantly and did what they could and so did the Hospital...I'll spare you the details.... No symptoms. My life forever changed after that. Mom worked three jobs to make ends meet and provide for her kids including me. I was the oldest. Mom was a 41 year old widow.

It took until the Summer of 1995 for me to get past that. And that was only after I went out of the country to visit family who told me it wasn't my fault and the autopsy/coroners report said so as well. But at that time I blamed myself. Hey man, what teeneager doesn't argue w/ their parents??

I would go back to the day before he died when we got along better than we ever had and tell him I loved him. In short you never know when someome you love will be gone.

A friend of mine and his wife just burried his Mother in Law/ her Mom a few short days ago. She passed away unexpectedly. Her final hours were sepnt laughing amongst family & freinds at her Grandson's first Birthday party. Two - Three hours after she got home, she died...Heart attack out of nowehere. The only positive thing is her final hours were spent joyfully amongst family & friends.

In short: Cars, engines. houses, buildings can be repaired or replaced. Once a life of a relative, family member, friend, loved one is gone, that's it....I just wish I could go back to that fateful October 1987 night.....Chicago also had a record cold wave that weekend and those record cold temperatures still stand for those days in October. Every year when I watch the weather for those couple of days I am reminded when they announce the record low. But as stated above that 1995 trip to visit family cleansed the wound and began to heal the scar. I'm a Dad now and I specifically went out of my way to spend as much time as possible with my little boy today and I told him how much I loved him even though his team lost by 2 points in a basketball torunament today and ended up 4th insetad of 3rd.... You just never know man. Love your kids! Love your family!

Ok enough of the mushy stuff---time to go listen to some relaxing Heavy Metal Music...Ahh that's it---Just found Metal Mania on VH1 Classic!

I'd like to go back to the days my old neighbor had his 69 Z for sale. I'd probably hve to take my brother with so we could pool our money to buy it. RIP Rich.

I would go back to year 1 and start over. Why? Maybe I could do a better job of it the second time around. I've actually kicked around the idea of a sci-fi story about a boy who,at age 12, gains an immediate self-knowledge of a life previously led but could never come up with a good enough plot.

Anyone remember the Back to the Future movies? Careful or you will mess up the "Time - Space Continum" and alter the present so you don't exist...

So how come nobody is cashing in what's left of their 401k and going back to 1969 and buying ZL1's and other cool cars?:disco:

I'd be seventeen again.

Of course I'd still be as rich and cool as I am now, a far cry from what I really was then. I'd have the coolest cars, the coolest friends.
And I'd get laid a lot.

Back to when I was 19 and buy IBM stock, COPO's, gold, '66 Hemi Charger or anything with a Hemi, & Yenko's, and tell my Grandparents I love them.

Hmmmmm? Good question? Do I go for a lottery win (if retaining present memory)? Right a wrong? Revenge? Win that final game? The first kiss or the first...? The advent of a a child? The first time I saw a Camaro? The first paycheck? The first or last day of school? Too many choices? Think I'll just enjoy the present.:)

MARTY! Don't talk to anybody, don't mess with anything, and try not look at anything. What does this have to do with my future?
Look what happens to your son!
God, he looks just like me.

The Almanac:

What is this?
Its a little souviner.
I DID NOT BUILD THE TIME MACHINE FOR FINANCIAL GAIN.
Yea yea I know but c'mon, what wrong with makin' a few bucks on the side?
I am going to put this in the trash can!

BTTF 3:

You know Doc, there's an old story about a school teacher who fell over in the reveane. They say it happened a hundred years ago. Every kid has had teacher or two they'd like to see fall in the reveane.
Great scott!
Thats today!
She was supposed fall over in that reveane. Now I may have really messed up the time stream.
The first thing I'm gonna do when I get back is destroy that infernal time machine.

I LOVE THOSE MOVIES!

I'd go back just about 1 year, to 28 Feb 08, and not go back to the office that night, so this wouldn't have happened...
