Wawanessa has that kind of coverage in Alberta. I don't think you can use it in BC though. Doesn't hurt to ask I guess. Good luck.

I do, it's the best thing ICBC ever did. I have coverage for $150 a year. No to and from work. Otherwise it's open.

I just removed this page from a website I did (they were getting too many calls). It's still available using 'only' this address.
http://insurancebc.com/antique_collector.html

everything you should need to know is on there.

I also have collector insurance with ICBC. $130 for 6 months and that covers every option and add on ICBC offers. Take it to a claim center and have an adjuster document it with pics and list of options. Also value it and have ICBC keep this info on file, just in case.

Hi Lost....i'v got "declared value" collectors insurance through BCAA.

if your car is not bone STOCK you cant get the collectors insurance through ICBC.
and you have to be careful if you do get it from icbc.....if you change anything like put non stock wheels or headers on the car after you have the icbc insurance, and you have an accident, ICBC will void your insurance!!!

with the BCAA insurance, you tell them what the car is worth and they let you drive it for 7 months and then it has winter lay up fire and theft. you have to get your liability insuance through icbc still, but if you total your car you get the full price from bcaa....no icbc run a round!
the bcaa insurance costs me i think it was 160.00 a year for 20,000.00 declared value and the icbc for 7 m0nths was 400.00.
its not as cheap as icbc collectors BUT in most cases if you have headers on your car and they didnt come stock from the factory icbc wont give it to you.
