I have to change my wiper motor because it hits my new valve covers. I will go with the detroit speed one. Is it a big deal to change it out. I was reading the book and they said the wipers have to come off and the cowl has to come off also. Is this true or is there an easier way. Look forward to absorbing the knoweldge off this site. Just did mine yesterday and what you heard was true but it's really easy. Best to have an extra hand when you pull off wipers. Have them hold the wiper arm away from the glass to relieve tension, then you can pry the retainer right off (I used a screwdriver). Then just take screws out of cowl and gently slide it forward and up. Just one nut holds the motor onto the wiper transmission. Took about ten minutes.
