Hey Guys,
for those of us who are running hydrailic rollers, what do you this about the RPM limitation that occurs from the heavy lifter design?
How much spring pressures are you guys running?
Secondly, they say if you run enough spring to control these heavy lifters then youll bleed down the plungers.
AFR says the have the solution with the hydra-rev kit, has anyone tried it?

How many RPMs are you spinning?

6200, but this question applies to those who want to push it up higher, like 7000.

The AFR kit works fine but doesn't fit all heads. Iron Eagle's are one that it doesn't work on; not sure about the Dart's. The middle of the head where the exhaust crossover would be needs to be the same level (on the bottom of the head where it bolts to the block, just under the intake ports) as the two sides. The aluminum plate they use to hold the springs fits under the head right next to the intake ports and needs the center of the head to support the plate in the middle. Some of the aftermarket heads like the Iron Eagles don't have the center section and it won't work.

If you were trying to turn 7000 rpm with a hydraulic roller this kit would be beneficial. But if it were me I'd be running a solid roller at that point.

I posted a question similar to this I can't run their rev-kit with vortecs either and was wondering the same thing as far as valve spring pressure to much and you'll colapse the lifter I'm thinking I'm gonna need 6500-6800 to croos safely so you might check out comp and crane their lifters run about $200-230 and are a anti-pump up design so you can get a few more RPM out of these.

i can go to 7200 with my vortecs and HOT cam kit, no problem. i aint stupid enough to hold it there, but it can go there.
