hello all just getting to the end of my 75 trans am 455 project. I got the parking brake out of the car but it is still attached to the line that goes to the rear drums. how do you remove the line that attaches to the parking brake pedal assembly, i didnt want to start undoing lines from the drums because it still seems to have some tension even with the brake released. any ideas? p.s should be the same as a second gen camaro, its all gm to me:D

If your talking the pedal assembly and the cable, the cable has an adjustment under the car near the back end of the sub frame. Penetrating oil it for days or just skip right to a lot of heat and back the nut off. That should remove all the tension and removal is pretty basic after that. There might be a clip that holds the cable into the pedal assembly. If there is tension on the rears after backing the adjustment off the rear cables are stuck in the housings and might need to be replaced.
