I wouldn't.... go with these instead. Side pipes are too 80's--ish ...leave them there... just my $.02 and no offense...

I'm not a side pipe guy. Maybe search nastyz28.com there are a bunch of sidepipe threads there. IIRC no one makes them anymore.

Still available through Summit. A friend had a set on a 79 lowered w/ Ranch suspension. Looked sharp for the time but pain with speed bumps and numerous serious leg burns. Nothing like a chrome burn.

Saw a NOS set of the old Thrush sidepipes on Ebay the other day. Brought back memories of the 70s but nothing I'd put on any car of mine.

I think if you like the idea go for it but I would get the ones with out the protecto grill they don't apeal to me...There was a guy not long ago on the welcome wagon with a 69 that had a set that I liked.I will look back in som of my old posts to see if I can find him...

When I bought my 70Z in 76 it had Side Pipes from a 70 Sting Ray. Looked nice but man the noise was unbearable. The exhaust bounced off everything, passing cars, curbs ... etc and back at you and you could not talk to any one standing outside your windows.

Go to Nastyz28.com Look up in the members or just look in the forums for a guy that goes by "Aces High" his name is Stacey. He has a 78 and he is doing a baldwin motion clone phase, it also has side pipes on it, nice ones. Hes the man to talk to if you want info for what he has done.
