has anyone ever used eagle SIR 6" rods in a 383 stroker. i have heard that i might have to clearance the rod bolts (arp wavelock) so i can run a standard base-circle cam. is this true? has anyone ever ran a cola 4340 pro series crank. i believe i got a great deal on one just curios of what other people thought about them.

I don't know which series they are but I have eagle 6" rods and a lightweight Cola crank in my 396" LT1 (3.875" stroke)
lots of clearancing around the pan area, clears cam fine
know of plenty of late-models using these components with superchargers and nitrous with no problems

Much better off buying cap screw stroker style connecting rods by crower.
The connecting rod is the most stressed part in your engine, do you want it to be made in china?

Now 'how' it is developed would mean more to mean that 'where' it is made.

I also have a Cola 4343 crank and Eagle "SIR" 6" rods in my 396 stroker small block using a roller cam with no issues other than the usual clearancing of the block and oil pan. I also used a alumin stroker pan from Stephs which required light clearancing.
Good luck......
