I a newbie and I am working on 68 RS/SS vert w/o matching numbers and I am trying to figure out the engine. I have the engine code, but I cannot find the suffix.

I know the engine was built in Flint on May 15 and the vin makes it appear that it came from a truck?

Any help would be appreciated.

TDS looks to be a 1978 truck 350/170 4barrel with manual transmission assembled at the Janesville, Wisconson plant.

Yes its a 350 V8 from a 1978 GMC truck.
