What do you guys think of this? Will it fit on a 69 ss or a 64 vette?

The one piece rear main could be a problem if you have a standard shift car.The passenger side dipstick could be an issue also.

why and why?

One piece seal requires a different flywheel because of the smaller bolt pattern on the flange.

Pass side dipstick would be a clearance problem if A/C equipped, evap suitcase might be in the way for a '69.

new flywheel is no prob, I thingk. No air. But what about the motor itself. It's a good deal yes?

I have the 350 they sell over 2 years and couldn't be more pleased with it. I have done several runs down the drag strip, 4 laps wide open around Pocono and countless car shows. You can order direct from them like I did. I got the block painted the color I wanted and the dip stick on the side I wanted with no extra cost. A lot of people say get local in case you have a problem. I say, if it was done right you shouldn't have a problem.

I had been looking at the Blueprint engines and when looking around, I didn't see anyone who had an issue with them. I STILL haven't gotten around to my engine upgrade, so I can't comment on how good their stuff is.

Scott (aka BonzoHansen) had posted that RockAuto also carries the blueprint engines and at one point had a better price (I think RockAuto also has various online coupons and stuff if you search around) Here was that thread:

As mentioned, there are definitely benefits in "going local" with a builder if you have any issues, etc. But I hadn't seen any negative comments on Blueprint, don't think they'd be that bad...

Got the E-mail newsletter from Jegs today and it looks like they are running a special on that engine for $2995. Not a bad price for a turnkey engine with that hp and torque.

I was surprised to see as much power as it makes with quite a large cam and a compression ratio that does not really match.
But with crate engines today very seldom do you see one with over 10:1 advertised as a street motor just so the companies can push more out the door.
People are so set now a days that anything over 9:1 needs race fuel or it will explode.
I'm the type that likes a lot of compression unless it's forced induction so I am a pretty biased person to post.

In my honest opinion for the price it's a great buy, you should have no probs with reliabiltity, street ability or smokin' what ever punk kid is next to you.
I have seen a few pretty hard core blue print engines so they must be good.
for 4k I don't think you could build it and achieve the same power. Seems like a good by.

Can you email the link to the $2995 price, when I check the site it is listed at $3995.99? Thanks

That's not the turn key. it's more like $3995 but, still I bought racing 4 cyl for 6k. and they weren't blue printed.

My other question is will it fit in a 327 corvette (64)??? Found out from Jegs. probably not due to the height of the manifold.:-(. Still a good deal with a 30 month warranty. Dipstick can go on either side. starter parallel bolt pattern is ok and a new flywheel is $80..I want this to save the original motor in the 69 camaro.
