I'm installing a AAW classic update kit in my 69 coupe and wondered if anyone has a picture showing how the harness is routed under the dash. I started with just a shell so I have nothing to compare it to. Thanks for any help.

Clint do you have the AIM yet? Assembly Instruction Manual? That and the Fischer Body Manual will pretty much get you thru everything you need.

The main bundle on an OE 69 harness routes in front of the dash bacing as shown in the top photo. It's not critical, since the Update uses the disconnect for the instrument panel harness, so you can route them pretty much however you like. You can see in the second picture that I put my Update manin bundle behind the braces because it's a little cleaner, I think. There is (or should be) a harness clip on the plastic Y-duct for the defrost that the wires going to the passenger side (jamb switch, courtesy lights, heater resistor connection); you can see one clip on the body and one clip on the duct in the second picture.

And you may want to do yourself a favor and trim off the left bottom tab on the outside of the fuse box; the parking brake switch may hit it and it's not needed, so it's easier to cut it off before the box is in the car...

Hey i'm the same sitiuation with a 67! It was gutted when I got it and I'm also in the middle of an AAW install. Anyone know if the 67-68 is similar to the 69's??

Maybe this'll help too. Disregard the relay and stuff near it. The steering column wire is original.

The AAW kit a "plug and play set up"? Or do you have to connect the connectors.
The 68 harness runs like the pics above

The Classic Update kit is an assemble yourself type of harness. You decide which circuits you need and where you want them to run, and you add terminals (OE style connectors are supplied for all factory circuits). Then, if you're like me, you wrap it with the OE style vinyl tape and it looks factory.
The Factory Fit harness line is AAW's "plug and play". You decide which harnesses you want, order them all, and they show up ready to plug together like OE.
