Quotes:

"The car was originally dark green with a dark green vinyl top and dark green interior. It was never originally a rag top like previously owner stated."

" I took it to 1 cruise-in and was totally humiliated because not one nice thing was said about it."

" There are no rust holes because they were all filled with bondo."

"Rear has mono leaf on left side and multi leaf on the right side."

"I drove it from Chicago to north central Indiana at 55mph and could barely keep it on the road."

"I took it to 2 body shops for estimates to repair the body. Both body shops used words to describe the work done in terms I cannot use in this description. I think the words used would make Larry Flint cringe."

"The paint looks like it was painted in a back yard during a rain on a windy day."

"Like I stated, I paid $11,000 for this but am going to sell for a lot less and take a huge loss on this because the wife is mad and I have to sell it to make her happy."

Wow. Wow. Man, can you imagine his wife when he showed up at home with this.....car?

Well it sold at his BIN. At least he got a majority of his money back. Win some lose some. That's why it pays to actually see the car first or get someone to look at it for you.

Wow. I can't believe it was just sold for 7500 let alone 11k .
Poor car, hope the new owner plans to treat it as it should be, either restore it or turn it into a race car, it's a good candidate for that.

And for sure he should receive positive feedback. He went out of his way to bash his car concerning the :( long list.
On a positive note, I would buy from him on ebay

I don't believe for a minute it was ever a convertible but it wouldn't surprize me, considering all the other messed up stuff done to it if it had a convertible VIN tag on it from another car.. I agree the seller is a stand up guy and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him.

I think we should watch this one. Do I see a numbers match z/28 or c.o.p.o car. ? But all kidding aside having that done to you would be horrible. Wes P.S. B.J. is working on the description as we speak.

I got screwed on Ebay buying a car. The only good thing about mine was that it has all original interior in very good condition. The Paint job looked like a 3 year old could have done a better job. I was told the engine is a 383 stroker. I did find out that the lower block does have a 400 crank but a 2 bolt main not a 4 bolt main. I did not pay anywhere near the 11K but my car is what it is. A 69 Camaro any way you look at it. Gotta feel somewhat bad for the guy. I will never buy another car on Ebay without seeing it first. Lesson learned. At least he sold it for a decent amount.

Wow and drove it home. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes with wife saying "remember that ..... you bought for......" till his dying day. Had a coworker years ago drive home a 69 but kept having to stop for gas as it had a hole in tank so every time he hit the gas or brakes some fuel would slosh out. Also had to jump start each time he shut it off.

I will chime in with 71maligreen. I got a screwing on ebay buying a 68. DO NOT buy a car on ebay and send money ahead of looking at it. Might get a negative if you turn down a turd? Big deal.

Yeah. The worst part is his Wife will never forget. She will always have that car in her memory bank. I wish him luck on his next purchase.

First thing this site is the best.. it has helped me out alot.. i must be one of the lucky ones. i have bought 3 cars on e - bay and i am 100% satified with them all. i have bought a number matching 1970 ralley sport z 28 / 1964 corvette and a 1982 el camino.. each one was better then there e bay ads.. i have just asked alot of questions and asked for extra pictures.. the camaro and corvette where bot mid 30,000 dollar cars and i did not see either one until they where delivered to my house. i must be lucky... looking for a 1969 z 28 now.. waiting for the car market to get down alot of people dreaming about what there cars are worth.
thanks again for the great site
