I purchased two square port heads from a guy. I took them to a friend to get them checked out and the 3904391 head was cracked. I have been told they can weld or pin cracks. Is that true? If so, what would this cracked head be worth?

Thanks,

Darrin.:)

You sometimes can get them repaired. Not sure of the cost.

I have to verify the casting number as I believe I have one as well. Swallowed a valve & broke one of mine. I may be interested in either buying 1 or selling one if the numbers match.

HI... Our machine shop does this repair all the time. The only kicker is that you should do a valve job at the same time. 80 per cent of the time it works. Wes

391 heads are the most sought after '67 heads for the Corvette guys (I went with 858's cause they were the same head but much cheaper). If you can get it fixed RIGHT then do it...
