Hey everyone, I pulled the motor out of my 69 to put a 350 in it. Taking it out noticed right side motor mount was broke. Bought both sides, No problem. Putting motor back in and I think the mounts bolted to the sub frame are wrong. I can bolt one side up but the other is off about an inch. Like the frame mount needs to be longer. I thought you could swap engines without any problems. Maybe had wrong mounts in to begin with. Motor that came out was a 305.http://www.camaros.net/forums/images/icons/icon9.gif

this site should help you out.

if your car has 307-327 frame stands you need that engine mount, if it has 302-350 frame stands, you need that mount. Sounds like there is a mix up somewhere.

Yes, it sounds like your new engine mounts are for a 307/327 frame mounts. Don't say you bought them at Autozone ! Either their parts books are wrong or they have the wrong parts in the box !
