I have a big stack of receipts. I'm sort of scared to add it all up. :D

I do not have a Pro Street..but I flat out stopped counting receipts.I can see why some would want to catalogue their parts for future referance though.Makes sence.

I think most projects start off with a list similar to yours. My list is a little different, I usually have it set up more as a shopping list with rounded off prices and part numbers. I mark the items off as I buy them. I make another "work" list and write down all the work I need to do and priotitize it, I mark things off as I go. This keeps you from getting side tracked when you have a lot of things to do.

That's an aweful lot of tire for a 28 spline axle. If you are starting from scratch on the rear end you might want to step up to 31, 33, or 35 splines. I assume with that 12:1 compression you plan to see more track time than street time.

No need to really add up the receipts the money is spent and the parts you bought are now worth a fraction of what you paid. I keep all my receipts but, have never added up any totals on any project I've built. I usually just hand over the stack/folder to the new owner.

People will ask how much do you have in it? I just say I don't know I never added up the receipts.

I have the list, not for tracking cost but so that I will know what I need for servicing. What brake pads to get, belts, hoses etc.

This is one of my old ones. I update it every year. I'm working on a new "service parts list" with exact part #'s for gaskets, etc...

It's scary just thinking about adding it all up. I've got over 14K in mine and I have'nt even got started, yet. I consider myself a smart shopper, but I have been known to pay too much for something I really want. I also realize I probably won't get what I'll eventually have in it, but I'll enjoy the car regardless of how much I sink into it. It's all about havin' fun whether it's on the cheap or not......
