Hey all,
just got a set of repo spiral(Hugger performance) rear shocks for my 69 SS350. My question. These shocks seem so weak. You can pull them all the way out and when you push them in they just stay in the position you pushed them in. They do not rebound at all like the gas shocks i took off the car. Is this correct? This is going to be a show car and not really driven. I guess I should hold onto the gas shocks for when the shows are over??
thanks for the help.

Yes, they are non-gas so will stay where you put them, also are single action, meaning they work on extension and not on compression.

Thanks David,
So is it safe to say the ride will be real bad?

Well, it will be soft for sure! those shocks were for a soft ride, they don't care about body lean, and 5" wide tires, so next to no lateral G's. At higher velocities they do a little, at hand velocities they are pretty soft.
