I/my brother have bought a car from this guy before. Nice guy. Honest about what he sold me. Only that one experience though.

I like that color, but hard to get 200k in todays market.

Kinda cool about the Bob Johnson Ent standard of installing L89 type heads on many of their COPO's.

I have talked to Bob a few times about the famous LM1 Convt that Joe DeLorenzo drove. Nice guy.

That L89 head install part is a bit confusing, as the car is wearing 074 heads...the ad states it was sold new with aluminum heads, but then the block was replaced within a month...surely they originally used a closed chamber aluminum head (842) and left the short block alone, instead of opting for a set of 074s and having to change the entire rotating assembly? No biggie, just curious...sweet car!

That is a cool 427 COPO drag car Camaro with an interesting history.

I saw that car sitting in a basement in CT. when I went to look at a Yenko Deuce Nova years ago.
It was unrestored at the time. The guy also had an LS6 convertible down there.

here is a link with some cool pictures of it.

Rob,the heads were not added at the dealership. They were giving to Moe when he bought the car and I don't think he ever put them on. The engine that was replaced under warrenty was a rebuilt 1967 ID code 427 short block and was still with the car but was swaped out for a 512 block by a past owner. Ed

Why would a 69 have a 67 warranty motor for a replacement?

No 512 blocks in 67. But it very well could have been replaced with a 427 block out of a Vette.
