View Full Version : Back From Paint - At Last!!!
edhjohnb Feb 11th, 09, 09:59 AM Well, I debated on whether to post this or not because everybody always shows off their cars when they come back from paint, but since it's been over 2-1/2 years since I started this project, I figured what the heck. After 5 months in paint prison, my 67 RS is finally back. :hurray:
I've still got some exterior things to address like fixing the bumblebee stripe (), adding the drip moldings, weatherstripping, rear bumperettes, etc, but it's come a long, long way from the day I acquired it on July 3, 2006. Now, tires and wheels and finishing the interior!!!

fugetaboti Feb 11th, 09, 02:16 PM What color is that? Mine is a 68 and it's originally Grotto Blue which is a 68 color, but that looks similar to Grotto.
edhjohnb Feb 11th, 09, 02:31 PM What color is that?
Hey guys, thanks for all the kind words...I sincerely do appreciate it. Regarding the color, it is the standard GM Marina Blue (color code FF), which appeared on both Camaros and Corvettes in 1967. The Grotto Blue (color code DD) appeared on Camaros in 1968, and was just a touch lighter.
77thor Feb 11th, 09, 03:46 PM It's one of my favorite colors.... very nice.

edhjohnb Feb 11th, 09, 05:57 PM im trying to pick a color, the marina blue i am looking at seems a little lighter than your pics. is that metallic?
Yes, it has a very slight metallic flake in it (so slight I really don't even see it as metallic, just bright and shiny). But yours should look the same, because I ordered the standard GM Marina Blue color.
