I hate these threads, but here I am starting one :D. My '68 project is in the body shop getting final prep for paint. It's a mini-tubbed, SFC car with aftermarket front and rear suspension, fairly hard core handling oriented, getting an LS1 and a T56, so no concern about originality. It's (like all my cars) meant to be a driver more than a show car.

I'm thinking either subtle (dark grey with black stripes) something like this car http://www.lateral-g.net/members/lenning/ (though mine would be lucky to look so good) or Millenium Yellow with black stripes. This is the color, but you have to imagine it on a '68. http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/appearance/camaro/yellowss.jpg

I'm a budget, what works kind of guy. Wheels will likely be Z06 wheels, something like this: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/pts/1032127736.html maybe satin, maybe black. Hood is factory cowl induction. I might down the road go with 17's all around, probably Billet Specialties Vintecs: http://www.billetspecialties.com/item.asp?cid=16&scid=47&pid=78 Wheels are easily changed. Paint, not so much.

Mike, you sound like me (except for the ready to paint part) I Really wanted the yellow, I was thinking black and white checkered flag stripes. but now i have decided (i think) dark grey w/ charcoal stripes.
i also really like this one. it was in camaro performer magazine last month.

I always liked Gun Metal Gray. So my choice would be dark gray!
