Would Rally Green be considered a desireable color as opposed to say Hugger Orange, red or even black? Just curious...

Brian, Rally Green was not as popular as Hugger Orange, red or black. However, it's not too far down the list. What year is the car? vinyl top? one cool thing about muscle cars is you can put a color like rally green on them. I considerd it long and hard for my '68 project.

I would think the Rally Greem would be as desirable if not more since the production nnumbers are much lower than the others mentioned approx Hugger Orange was the most produced at 12%, Rally Green was approx 5%. butternut 1% and Chanpagne .5% were at the bottom.

If your car was not orig Rally Green and you are not set on painting it the same. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ...or buyer.

I would rather have a Rally Green over Hugger, but the comparison is like Jessica Simpson or Angelina Jolie

Well my car was originally R.G. but I had planned on painting it Hugger Orange when it was done. I've never really been a 'green' fan but I've seen some pix of R.G. Camaro's lately that look pretty sharp. I guess you could say I'm torn. :o

some people don't want to paint a car hugger orange, black, or red becuase they are popular colors. But, they are popular colors for a reason. Now, that being said, how often do you see another Camaro around your town? I have a hugger orange '69 and, as popular as Hugger Orange is, I've never seen one around town or at a car show I've been to. Of course, come on this web site and every other car is red, black, or hugger orange!! So, don't worrry about what's popular. Personally, I love rally green on these cars.

If you are *torn*, go original. I'm a hugger guy (because that's what my car is), but I do like the Rally Green, partly because it's rare, and also because it's VERY standout and distinctive... I think you're always best served to stay original color, unless it's one that you can't stand.. :)

I am an original guy it keeps the history of the car intact and gives a better nostalgic vibe. Mine is a 67 Royal Plumb. Not too many of those and I have never thought of another color.

PS..recently at a car show in my little town there were 3 black 67-68 camaros... No hugger though.

Here's mine. JJ paint code. I love the color. Painted in '87 and holding up pretty well. One of these days I gotta put white Rallye stripes on it.

Just buy a fake trim tag and paint it your favorite color! (Did I say that out loud?)

I like Rally Green...The different colors have been coming in and/or back in style big time lately. When I mean different I mean something different other than black, red or hugger orange. The 1969 I own now was originally burnished brown. The prior owner(s) painted it tuxedo black and added the white racing stripes. Since it has the TR711 interior the black looks ok.

LOL! It's all your fault Nick! ;) All those pix you sent me of the R.G. Camaros!:D

All-
Luckily I have a little bit of time to decide before I will laying down the paint this car, although I am still leaning toward H.O. to match my old 1999 HOSS. If I were to see a RG in person I can rid the paint demons that haunt me one way or the other. Any RG's in the Albuquerque NM area???:beers:

Rally Green with white stripes is an awesome combination.

Keep it original...someday, if my car ever needs paint, I'll probably paint it the original butternut yellow just so it matches the trim tag. I might brighten it up a bit, but not all the way to daytona yellow, since that wasn't a 68 color.
