What are the benifits of center hung floats on a holley versus side hung floats? Is there any? Would the difference be worth the extra money on a mostly street motor?

Double pump carbs are standard with center hung floats, as is any carburetor with dual feeds. Side hung bowls rely on a small transfer tube to fill the seccondaries. Side hung are good to just over 325HP in my opinion. .

Dual feed carbs are designed for performance applicatons

Just a different design -- they both work IMO.

Side hung floats are a no-no in an autocross car though IMO - they don't as well in high-g turns.
