I'm asking this question mainly for my friend, but I'm kind of curious too. He installed an MSD 6A box and coil on his 96' Z28, with all the proper wiring. Anyway it makes a clicking noise while the car is at full throttle.

I have a 6A box on my car, and it makes a humming noise. :confused: We were just wondering if that noise is normal, and if it is in fact installed correctly. Also what noise does your MSD box make, and what causes that noise? graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I've heard MSD and other hi-output boxes make a clicking/hum noise at idle, and I found the noise to be coming from the distributor, when the electricity was arcing from the rotor to the cap terminal. That wouldn't be the case in the '96, but could be the answer to yours.
